The Forbes 18 hole championship golf course is located beside the Newell Highway on the northern side of town. A feature of the 6100m (Blue) and 5920m (White) Par 72 course is four holes with water crossings. Formally Pro-Am Golf Tournaments were held at Forbes and so it provides a challenging golf course for all golfers.
Golf carts, buggies and clubs are available for hire at the Pro Shop in FGA House. The Club runs regular Mens and Ladies competitions, has key events such as the Opens and the Forbes Nissan Classic (with $5000 sponsorship), has regular veterans competitions, runs a Summer 6’s 9-hole competition to encourage new players as well as for club players, and a number of Charity events.
Visitors and Social Groups are always welcomed and well catered for which is evident by the number of return annual trips from various groups.

Vets Golf at Forbes is in full swing. Games are played on Thursdays, alternating between Forbes and Parkes courses.
Each month special games are held at other Clubs in the district including Forbes, Parkes, Condobolin, West Wyalong and Grenfell.
